This is my homage to the solosound ToneBender MK2 Fuzz circuit. With an added external bias control, this is a circuit where the hot or cold biasing can make a huge difference to the tone. both usable and distinct.

Built point to point using a very sort after combination of vintage silicon transistors, and high spec new components. Built using JB and Vishay capacitors, Lumburg jacks and alpha pots. With fixed fuzz or 'attack' this pedal can cover ground between both the MK1 and 2

AHHH Silicon ... I hear all the Ge nerds muttering. I can honestly say that with carefully chosen and measured components the actual differences between Si and Ge in this circuit are much more subtle than you would believe. Have a listen to the demo and see for your self...

( 'Tonebender' is a trademark of Solosound Ltd - they are also awesome) .

This fuzz is my homage to the Solasound Tonebender*. Using my own tweaked version of the Mk2 circuit, but voiced closer to the MK1. Using a matched pair of super rare vintage 'New Old Stock' TO106' ME c1016 RedDot silicon transistors from Aug 1975, and a single RCA 2n3053 from 1977 I have enough of these transistors for over a thousand units, so theres no chance of running low soon.

The tone is very much classic ToneBender*, think Mick Ronson on Ziggy Stardust. The bias control is the key on this pedal, With careful dialling you can find all sorts of sweet spots. Stay clockwise for thick, chewy, loud open and dynamic fuzz, as you turn anti clockwise the fuzz will increase and Mids will start to come forward, continue anti clockwise, for brighter cutting MK1 territory.

To dial the classic MK2 voice, mute the strings and turn the bias control till the background hiss just fades. This is the point where the transistors are switched off, however the moment you touch the strings they come to life. This is very much a feature of the Mk2.

Turn the bias further clockwise and the attack becomes more spitty and 'stop start' until no signal will pass.

Bass boost / stock switch does pretty much what it says on the tin.

Unlike the BlackHatSound the clean up from the guitar volume is very different. with the bias fully clockwise, Your guitars volume will act more like a gain control for the first quarter turn down giving you some very clear and dynamic tones. With the bias further anti clockwise the clean up starts to get more brittle and spitty .

In all if you like your Fuzz with lots of bite and vintage mojo but still with plenty of tight bass this is the pedal for you.

*ToneBender is a trade name owned by Solasound of London, supplied by Macaries, who are still making awesome fuzz pedals too =)

I build these fuzz pedals in my garden workshop in Northamptonshire UK. This includes painting, drilling, and acid etching my design onto the enclosures. Constructing the entire circuit ‘Point to Point’ only using the components, theres no boards or circuit traces to dilute your signal purity. I finish the entire pedal to a standard that I think looks as good inside, as it sounds on the outside. It might be covered up but when you’re in that moment you KNOW the mojo you have under the hood.

Please be aware, these are totally hand built and so there might me some slight cosmetic variation between each pedal. The acid etching process produces a gunmetal patina on the enclosure with will vary from pedal to pedal. This is most noticeable on the sides and imparts a unique character to each pedal. Tonally, I play each one to make sure they sound as good as the first one, before signing off, no tone generator, no gadgets – just a telecaster and my ears.

Please note, all my silicon pedals have a boss style 2.1 center negative DC jack only, there is no battery snap. Silicon transistors are not sensitive to DC supply type unlike their germanium counterparts.

Thank you for reading, if you have any questions about this pedal feel free to message me.

Great frother and well built
Color: Black, Size: Rechargeable
I don’t usually write reviews, but since I’ve been helped by so many reviews from others, I wanted to share my thoughts on the InstaWhisk Milk Frother. This is a great frother. It really whips cream into a tasty, rich froth. My wife and I have tried cheaper battery-operated frothers in the past, and while they worked fine at first, they didn’t last very long. The InstaWhisk feels well built and works great. Pro tip: The frother may be a little too powerful at normal speed, so you might need to lightly “feather” the power button to keep the liquid from overflowing the cup. Once you get used to it, it works really well.

Great frother/stirrer especially for the price.
Color: Black, Size: Rechargeable
Best one available. Have used cheap ones from the store that work pretty good, but batteries are a pain. This is rechargeable and it has a push button that allows you to start it right away without having to turn it on to start it kind of like a power drill. If you start to press it it goes slow the harder you press the faster it goes. The different attachments are great. We use it for both coffee frothing as well as mixing up electrolyte drinks with water with the included mixing attachment. Crazy powerful and easy to use.

Strong motor. Works great
Color: Black, Size: Rechargeable
I really like this frother. The fact that it’s variable speed, rechargeable, and can spin at a high rate are all great features. I use it to blend collagen powder and cream into my coffee every morning. Also sometimes use it to Blend drinks. Strong motor. Like that the whisks are removable for cleaning and that it comes with different ones.

Works well, long use on single charge, high torque - be careful when starting
Color: Black, Size: Rechargeable
Not the most inexpensive powered whisker bur I've used other Typhor products and found them reliable for the task designed. I fell they don't cheap out on the rechargeable battery so I don't fell they will catch fire, as we are hearing about from other cheaper rechargeable items. I liked 2 things about this model the speed control is by a pressure single switch which I can control, not just pick speed 1,2,3. The swappable tips allow for different uses. I don't drink coffee but use the item to whisk eggs for an omelets and it has the torque to mix them without effort. In Fact need to only use half power else it will splatter out of my mixing vessel.

I am very impressed!
This little frother is perfect and my frappé coffee tastes as if I were sitting at one of the hundreds cute, outside cafés in Thessaloniki. It whips stiff coffee foam in just a few seconds, holds charge for a long time, and appears to be of superior quality. Variable speed control is great, as it prevents the coffee liquid to splash when starting the frothing process. Granted, I have only owned it for about 2 weeks, but I am totally impressed, and hope it'll keep making delicious frappés for me for a long time to come. So far, highly recommend!
